Sports within the A.T.C. and 94 Squadron
As an air cadet you can take part in seven main sports at different levels - athletics, cross country, football, rugby, hockey, netball and swimming.
There are also a whole range of other sports that we compete in at various levels.
Whatever you do it'll help improve your physical fitness levels and your team skills. If you're good enough at your favourite sport we'll notice, and can help you take it to the next level.
There are frequent tournaments between squadrons, where the best players are selected to represent the wing. The same then happens for the region, with wings competing against each other and the best players making up the regional team. If you make it through each of those selections then you're good. Really good. You'll be at the top of your game and will have a shot at representing the entire cadet corps, nationally and even internationally.
At 94 Sqn, we have regular sport and Physical Training (PT) sessions to keep all personnel fit and more importantly to bring them together as a team. We also have regular sports evenings with other squadrons in the local area to give everyone a chance to compete with other cadets.
We also reguarly take our cadets over a local squadron's obstacle course and other locations to which provides new challenges to cadets and staff alike!
If you are interested in what we do, aged 13 to 18, and wish to take a look, then contact the squadron on 020 8818 2350 or email adj.94@aircadets.org to find out when we are recruiting next. |
