Welcome to 94 (Feltham) Sqn A.T.C.
The Air Training Corps (ATC) is an organisation for young people, not only interested in aviation, but also outdoor activities, shooting and sports. It is an organisation where you will be given the chance of taking part in many activities you never thought possible.
From the age of 13, you can join your squadron as a Junior Cadet, and at 13 years and 3 months you can be enrolled as a full member of your squadron. Air Cadets, aged 13 to 20, and their supporting staff get the opportunity to participate in a large range of stimulating and rewarding activities.
By going Air Experience Flying you learn how to fly a light aircraft and later learn to fly aerobatics. You can visit Royal Air Force Stations both in the UK and overseas, play sports from local to International level, become qualified to fire target rifles and become a target shooting marksman, learn the skills to lead expeditions helping towards gaining your Duke of Edinburgh's Awards (the ATC is also the largest operator of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme), learn aviation subjects and have the option of working toward a BTec in Aviation Studies.
Our aims are to:
- Promote and encourage a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force among young people
- Provide training which will be useful in the Services and civilian life
- Encourage the spirit of adventure and develop qualities of leadership and good citizenship
And there's one more important thing - it's a lot of fun!
If you are interested in what we do, aged 13 to 18, and wish to take a look, then contact the squadron on 020 8818 2350 or email adj.94@aircadets.org to find out when we are recruiting next.
